They've done this before. We had a chance to play them in 2001 on Thanksgiving night, but they refused.

Would have been great publicity for our game.

This pretty much confirms a noon kickoff. ESPN won’t be doing the taters any favors for the foreseeable future

If we had to reciprocate and play them at home on Black Friday it’s a hard pass from me.

Taters doing Tater things. This would have been a great spotlight opportunity for both teams. It’s a missed opportunity.

Why? You'd prefer us to be relegated to a noon game on the SEC Network?

Anything that gets us better ratings is better for recruiting. Especially in the NIL era.

I’d be interested to hear their reasoning on this. I’d be pretty pissed with our admin if we turned down a guaranteed prime time night kickoff against Clemson.

They only declined it because it wasn’t their idea.

Main reason most folks on here are criticizing it is just because Clemson vetoed it. I wouldn’t want to have to play Friday after thanksgiving at home either. Hope we dont ever move the game at home to Friday.

I wouldn’t mind a Black Friday game. There would be way more national exposure.

Wow...check out the full email. Looks like we agreed. The ACC seems to be painting the picture that Clemson is operating in bad faith. Perhaps they are looking to introduce this as evidence in the forth coming trials?

It would interfere with their weekly kkk meeting.

I always thought it would be a good idea to play on Friday after Thanksgiving. Would get a lot more coverage.

I know this will be against the older folks on this board but Thursday and Friday games are a big no for many people that I have spoken to. I assume lack luster attendance from the student body especially a good part is from out of state nowadays. Doesn’t make sense for this era anymore. Lets focus on spending time with family for a couple days and not focus on football.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to consider moving the Clemson-South Carolina game off rivalry Saturday if we don't want it played on SECN+
